Spotlight Artist: Dawn Flores

Dawn Flores is a woman with something to say

Have you ever asked yourself what the definition of “impossible” is?

For artist Dawn Flores, something is only impossible because we do not know the way yet.

When we decide something is possible… We are shown the way.

Before joining the Become Internationally Known community, Dawn wanted to combine her work as an artist with her heartfelt concern about social and environmental issues… But wasn’t sure how.

She realized she feared being a “woman with something to say.”

Today, however, she playfully describes herself as "a revolutionary disguised as a botanical illustrator.”

And her new clients are loving it!

What made this transformation possible?

With the support of our community of artists, Dawn could see where she had been holding herself back and took action to change.

She opened herself up to receive feedback without looking for external validation.

Working with our writing support team, she transformed her resume and artist statement… Which helped her quickly find new clients and confidently raise her coaching fees.

Dawn made the impossible possible.

“What The Becoming Program has given me, is a greater appreciation of who I am and clear understanding of my strengths, which translates to my not looking for validation or evidence outside myself.

This inner strength fuels my conviction to move forward with grace and ease, while bringing the challenges of environment and social justice into the conversation.

The fear around being a woman who has something to say has melted, and I am moving through the world in a more open-hearted kind of way. I am marvelling at how grounded, kind and compassionate I am becoming. The biggest shift for me is that I believe I can do the things my heart is calling me to do.” - Dawn Flores
