Artist Heather Harbaugh is having SO MUCH FUN…

Let’s talk about the inner critic… 

You know, that little voice that insists everything you do isn't good enough? 

The creativity party-pooper we all carry inside? 

Before joining the Become Internationally Known program seven months ago, artist Heather Harbaugh’s inner critic was a giant bummer.

It told her there were “right” and “wrong” ways to be creative. She was tired of constantly questioning her artistic choices and wanted to let go and PLAY.

Working with the Become Internationally Known community, she started conversing WITH her inner critic instead of shutting her down. She asked for support from our community of artists and prioritized taking inspired action instead of staying stuck in self-doubt, creating results she is super proud of. 

Since starting the program, she’s made over 50 new ceramic pieces – many of which sold. One was featured in an online exhibition for emerging artists. She received three commissions for her “prophetic portrait” series, completed 10 new watercolour mediations and 6 intuitive/prophetic-inspired acrylic paintings.

At the end of the day, our inner critics are just trying to keep us SAFE.

Befriending this part of herself helped Heather stop shutting down and losing touch with her creative spark. She became more playful and joyous in her art-making. 

What does she recommend for those still wrestling with our inner critics?

“PLAY and ENJOY life and embrace ALLLLL of what we feel as valid and an important part of our creative process. Each of our creations carry a unique and necessary frequency and vibration that helps to raise the frequency of our planet,” Heather says.
