Spotlight Artist: Cassie Lozuk
Cassie Lozuk knows when to listen (to herself)
Listening is truly an art form in and of itself.
Here in the Become Internationally Known community, we practice this art - learning to listen keenly to our intuition and deepest desires.
But here’s the tricky part… We don't just listen. We learn to discern which parts of ourselves to listen to. To know which voices are helping us grow and which are holding us back.
When Cassie Lozuk joined the Become Internationally Known program seven months ago, she struggled with this last bit.
Her inner critic was quite vocal and planted so many seeds of self-doubt it was hard to hear much else. It told her she couldn't be an artist because she didn't have enough of the “right” kind of training.
Meanwhile, she could barely hear the parts of her that wanted to loosen up in the studio and learn to play.

Cassie developed a more balanced relationship with that inner critic through her work in the program. With the support of the curriculum and our community in coaching sessions, she also learned to listen to what felt good and what felt right.
Following this lead, she began to play more and more in her art-making, becoming wildly productive and experimental.
She made radical changes to her studio that helped her work flow more easily.
She created a series of 10 new large paintings and developed a new artist statement about it.
And she got herself the help she needed to redesign and increase the functionality of her website.
“I see myself so differently now! I have an expanded understanding of the role art plays in this world, and as a result, an expanded understanding of the value of what I have to offer. I feel that the old belief that I had - that I needed some (unattainable) level of skill or number of lessons before I could even share it - has dissolved into a deep desire to lean into my own intuition and personal experiences as my source of inspiration.
I trust that there will be a divine right audience for my work. I feel centered in my own heart. The most significant change in myself has been reconnecting with my own Knowing, and re-committing to trusting my intuition.” -Cassie Lozuk
